I am an independent hospitality consultant with over 30 years proven track record in the hotel industry and I offer Sales & Marketing and Operations consultancy and advice specifically for independent and small group hotels, restaurants, inns and pubs in the South Midlands and South West.
In particular I have an intimate knowledge of marketing hotels, restaurants, inns and pubs in Gloucester, Gloucestershire, the Cotswolds, Taunton, Somerset and the South West of England. I also carry out hotel and resort reviews and write press releases and travel articles.

About Me
Having worked in the hospitality industry for 36 years, (I started as a bottle boy at the age of 12), I felt the time was right to start hotelconsult.
During those years I have experienced every aspect of hotel management and running commercial hospitality businesses from my early days bottling up in the family pub and learning the importance of point of sale through to a board level position for a group of diverse hotels.
This as has included managing the sales & marketing and operations of budget hotels, red star hotels (now Inspectors Choice), country house hotels, conference hotels, town centre coaching houses and village inns. In 1989 I was nominated by my employer and awarded a coveted Caterer & Hotelkeeper Acorn Award.
During the past 20 years I have carried out relief hotel management assignments and been involved with hotels that were awarded the RAC Credit to the Industry Award, RAC Blue and Gold Ribbons, AA Red Stars (Inspectors Choice), and the prestigious “Loo of the Year”, it’s all in the detail.
I am a graduate of the HCIMA, hold a full Personal Licence and I am an accredited trainer.
